AirPods Nano

AirPods Nano 2023.

I came up with the idea of listening to music without the use of a smartphone and cellular data, with a unique device that can be used for traveling, sports, and any activity where we have limited access to our smartphones.

I had the the idea of incorporating a physical interface onto the surface of my AirPods to create a device that combine AirPods case and a Mp4 player. I initially planned to render a 3D model with a super catchy design to bring my concept to life, as I typically do, but I questioned my approach to presenting my ideas.
How could I reviving our beloved iPods and also first-gen AirPods that have proven to be both technologically and temporally durable over the years ?

I then challenged myself to build a prototype using upcycled parts: my old first-generation AirPods that were replaced, my unused iPod shuffle that was gathering dust in a drawer, a Bluetooth receiver-emitter that I found at a WEEE collection point, and an old 3.5mm jack cable. I combined all of these components with a stylish strap.

This prototype if fully made of up-cycled parts :

-AirPods and AirPods case : This is my old AirPods, dying in a drawer.

-iPod shuffle : Also dying in another drawer.

-Bluetooth emitter-receiver : This part is linked to the iPod in order to create a Bluetooth signal and allow the connexion with the AirPods. This part is sourced in a WEEE center at Montpellier in France.

-3.5 Jack cable : sourced in a WEEE center at Montpellier, France.

6.0mm rope  : The only part I bought at eu.topologie.com
Thanks for watching :)
